Cookery Evenings
With renowned chef Jason Palin
One of our more recent ventures has been our cookery demonstration evenings, and it hasn't taken long for their popularity to grow. Fronted by renowned chef Jason Palin, the format of the evening is you get to sit in comfort and watch Jason as he whips up a variety of dishes using many of the finest ingredients available from our farm shop. As well as enjoying a glass of wine, you get to sample all the food Jason makes, and ask questions and participate throughout.
The general feel of the evenings is very informal and relaxed, with the focus on it being a friendly and sociable experience, but there's also plenty of information to be harvested from Jason's culinary experience, and all the dishes are designed in such a way that you can easily recreate them at home. So if you are thinking of hosting a dinner party any time soon, this is an ideal opportunity to brush up your skills.
As well as traditional dinner party food, we also run more specific demonstration evenings, focusing on particular styles or cuisines. Over the winter, we have some fantastic dishes suitable for entertaining, as well as more homely, warming dishes.
